It must be approaching 25 years since we held our first “Pond Service” at Hascombe, says Colin Swait who came up with the idea originally and invited Godalming Town Band to play. We always say “if wet, the service will be in Church” but I can only think of two or three times when that has happened. This year the service starts at 6.00 pm on Sunday the 8th July and we hope it will be packed out. Godalming Band will be playing as usual and lots of people bring picnics or pop in to the White Horse for supper afterwards. We look forward to seeing you all and whilst there do visit the outstanding highly decorated Church of St Peter.
