Hascombe Fete - Update
HASCOMBE VILLAGE FETE
Hascombe Fete will be held on Saturday 2nd August.
This year we are pleased to announce that we have decided to adopt Hascombe Children’s Ward at the Royal Surrey as our main benefactor for the fete. We will also be donating money to DisCASS (Disabled Citizens’ Advice & Support Services) as before.
The remainder of the money raised from the 2006 fete (£2000) has been donated to Hascombe Ward to purchase two monitors that allow nursing staff to remotely monitor a child’s condition.
Hascombe Ward has 32 beds or cots covering all specialities. It is a busy general paediatric Ward, offering family-centred care for children from 0-16 years. Hascombe Ward also cares for children with cancer, their care being shared with The Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. The Ward is always in need of additional funds and I am sure you will agree is a cause well worth supporting.
We are now starting to collect good quality items for the Brick-a-Brack stall, contact Ted Dwyer (01483 208593). We are also recruiting teams for the Tug of War competition. Nearer the date we will be asking villagers for donations for prizes and stalls.
If you would like to become involved, take part in the tug of war or help out on any of the stalls please contact Roy Kelsey on Hascombe 01483 208557
